Yulia Dotsenko is an accomplished visual artist and art historian based in the United Kingdom. She earned an MLitt with Distinction in History of Art and Art-World Practice from Christie’s Education and the University of Glasgow. Dotsenko's programme, "Art and Architecture from Antiquity to the Middle Ages and Renaissance," explored material culture from Mesopotamia to Europe c.1500  studying key formative stages of Western art. She has also specialised in Environmental Design and received classical training in painting and drawing.

Dotsenko's work is deeply rooted in scientific theories of colour and vision, as she explores the beauty and power of the natural world through visual art using digital media. Her collaboration with the University of Exeter Environment and Sustainability Institute, The ESI Creative Exchange, resulted in an art-science exhibition showcasing the cutting-edge research on wave energy extraction through digital seascape paintings.

Currently, Dotsenko focuses her attention on major environmental issues such as climate change and its impact. Her art aims to raise awareness and document the challenges posed by the environmental crisis. Her artwork is exhibited internationally and is held in private and public collections worldwide.
